Grove Road where an 8-year boy was knocked down by a car
Did you see an 8 year-old knocked down here on Thursday 8th Feb 3.25PM?

This Thursday, 8th February at 3.25PM an 8-year old boy was crossing Grove Road from Lichfield Road into Mile End Park with his mother on a blue bike, with a silver helmet when a dark car with two people hit the child’s bike just as he was reaching the other side of the road.

The driver and his friend left without giving any details.

Did you witness this incident?

Three kind secondary school girls saw it happen, and a man (bald with a ginger beard) man intervened. Was this you? - please get in touch.

The car is reported to have been travelling at speed (40+ mph).

If you witnessed this incident please email info@meotra.org.uk and we will put you in touch with the victim's family who are looking for witnesses.

Please pass this on to neighbours.

Do you have any local crime concerns where we live?

There is often a disconnect between most of us and crime and the ASB where we live. Mostly the emergency services go by, but sometimes problems land on our doorstep.
Tonight the Bow West Police Ward Panel Meeting takes place and aims to listen and discuss the range of issues happening in our neighbourhood (Thursday 2 February) 6-7pm.

The meeting is at the Epainos Ministries Hall (the old Holy Trinity Church). Please enter via LICHFIELD ROAD, E3 5AT.
This is a community forum to discuss community safety and crime. All local residents of Bow West are welcome to attend. Don't be shy. It is a friendly meeting. You will have a chance to speak your mind.

Local police, Council Anti-Social Behaviour Officers, Councillors and Tower Hamlets Homes representatives will be there.

At the meeting, those present get to set the three ward priorities on crime in our area.

Please pop along if you can, if only for a while. I know folk feel nervous, but take that step and come along. These meetings do make a difference.

John (MEOTRA Chair).
PS Many of us will decant to The Lord Tredegar afterwards :)
